DENTON, Texas – Joshua Villescas destroys the school record in the 400-meter sprint Saturday at the North Texas Classic.

Villescas finished in ninth place after running 48.77 seconds in the 400-meters, breaking the previous record of 50.17. Kevin Garcia came in 23rd with a time of 50.32.

In the 200-meters, Villescas clocked a time of 22.44 to place 34th, and Garcia finished in 54th with a time of 23.13.

The Aggies will head to Yukon, Okla., to compete in the Southwestern Christian Invitational hosted by Southwestern Christian.
