LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron women's tennis team took care of 17th-ranked St. Mary's Saturday morning at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex with a 5-2 win.
The Aggies, who rank #13, won No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to grab an early lead. Lea Manga and Karolina Glowinska claimed a 6-1 win, while Jenna Goessel and Magda Wawrowska won 6-2.
Vasilisa Polunova got the point from the No. 1 singles match with a 7-5 and 6-3 win, Kateryna Rudenko won 6-2, 7-6(8-6) at No. 4, Goessel had a 2-6, 7-6(7-5), 6-0 win at No. 5, and Wawrowska notched a victory at No. 6 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
CU travels to Edmond, Okla., to take on regional foe Central Oklahoma on Tuesday.
