LUBBOCK, Texas – AJ Espino places second at Lone Star Conference Championships on Friday evening at the LCU Soccer and Track Facility.
Espino ran the 3000-meter steeplechase in nine minutes and 47.61 seconds to place second.
Jeppe Sjolin qualified for the finals in the 1500-meters after a 12th-place finish with a time of 4:11.31. Emilien Gaillard had a time of 4:11.91 to turn place 13th, Allen Vasquez placed 18th after crossing the finish line at the 4:19.66 mark, and Brian Easter had a time of 4:29.98 to finish in 19th place.
Joshua Villescas finished 20th in the 400-meter spring with a time of 49.68 seconds, and Kevin Garcia placed 23rd, clocking a time of 50.83 seconds.
In the 800-meters, Lamon Miles recorded an 11th-place finish with a time of 1:56.98, and Nathan Kemp finished in 16th with a time of 1:58.82.
Marcos Herrera ran the 10,000-meter race in 34:42.03 to finish in 21st, and Edward Kipruto placed 22nd with a time of 35:20.45.
The Aggies will finish up the LSC Championships on Saturday.
