Cameron Men's Basketball continues their impressive season with a road win against Oklahoma Christian on Thursday night.
Daylon Andrews got the game started for the Aggies, as he continued his tough defensive play. Andrews stole the ball seconds into the game which led to a layup by
Andre Washington for the first bucket of the contest. The teams would battle back and forth through the first half as neither team could build a substantial lead. The Aggies would find themselves trailing by five as the teams went into the locker room.
Oklahoma Christian would strike first in the second half with a quick three-pointer to go up by eight. Cameron would respond with a three of their own, courtesy of
Jaylan Thomas. The Aggies would soon take the lead from the Eagles and would hold it for the rest of the game as they would go on to win 76-71.
The Aggies free-throw shooting put them over the top in this contest. Cameron shot 82% from the charity stripe compared to Oklahoma Christians 54%.
Reggie Prudhomme led all scorers with 21 points while
Daylon Andrews chipped in 18. The Aggies improve to 12-6 overall, and 8-4 in the Lone Star Conference.
The Aggies travel to Fort Smith Arkansas to take on the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Lions on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 3:00 p.m.
