Pittsburg, KS – Aggies compete at Pittsburg State.
The Cameron Track and Field team competed in the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational over the weekend. Several team members broke personal and school records.
Belle Vignes competed in the 5000 meters and finished with a new school record. Vignes finished with a time of 18:25.05.
Akaya Lightbourne put up an impressive 5:25.72 in the Mile, a time that broke the previous record held by fellow teammate
Arian Spears.
Freshman
Manon Cady broke the school record in the 3000 meters. Cady's time of 10:34.89 was enough to bump teammate
Belle Vignes from the top of the leader board.
Victor Ramos Sambade narrowly missed out on breaking the school record, currently held by All American James Majenge. Sambade's time was just one second shy of the record.
Track and Field will next compete at the Washburn Ichabod Invitational in Topeka, KS. on Friday and Saturday (Feb 9 and 10).
