Jacob’s Big Night Not Enough as Aggies Lose to ENMU, 76-74

Portales, NM. - The Men's Basketball team loses by 2 in the final seconds against Eastern New Mexico. The team will return to action in Aggie Gym on December 14th vs UT Permian Basin at 3 pm.

Aaron Jacob was on fire for the Aggies. The sophomore forward delivered a game-high 22 points, showcasing his versatility with 9 field goals, including 4 shots from beyond the arc. Jacob also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks, setting the tone for Cameron on both ends of the court. His ability to hit clutch shots kept the Aggies within striking distance throughout the game.

Brodnex added 21 points of his own, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor while pulling down 8 rebounds. Cameron showed grit throughout, with Reggie Prudhomme dishing out 9 assists while adding 15 points. Jaxon Ingram and Zaveion Okoh contributed on both ends, combining for nine rebounds and 14 points. The game was tight from start to finish, with 10 ties and 12 lead changes throughout. The Aggies attempted just 2 free throws, adding 1 to their score. 

The Aggies showcased their offense, shooting 50% (32-of-64) from the field and knocking down 9 three-pointers. They also dominated inside the paint, scoring 40 points. Turnovers kept the Greyhounds in the game against the Aggies, as the Greyhounds converted 16 miscues into 19 points. Cameron's defense remained active, forcing 12 turnovers and blocking 4 shots.
