Lubbock, TX. – Cameron falls to Lubbock Christian
The Lady Aggies took on the Chaparrals of LCU on Saturday afternoon. Both teams were nearly identical in most statistics, with one exception. The outcome of Saturday's game came down to free-throws. Cameron shot a perfect 100% from the free-throw line but only made it to the line five times. LCU, on the other hand, shot 91% on 21-23 from the charity stripe. That 16-point difference proved to be the deciding factor, as LCU came away with the victory 50-56.
Katie King had nine points in the game, which was four more than she needed to reach 1000 career points as an Aggie. King has 318 points on the season and is averaging 15 points per game. With Saturday's game, King now stands at 1004 total career points.
Cameron returns home for their next game when they take on Western New Mexico at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Aggie Gym.
