Softball splits the doubleheader with St. Mary's

Aggies are 14-10 overall and 10-9 in the LSC

Lawton, Okla – Softball is now 10-9 in Conference play.

The Aggies took to the field on Tuesday afternoon to take on the visiting St. Mary's Rattlers.

Game one took a bit to get rolling with neither team able to get a runner across home plate until the 4th inning.  St. Mary's started the inning with a one run homer.  The Aggies would answer back with a two run homer by Madysen Boutwell, but that wasn't all the Aggies had up their sleeves.  With the bases loaded Presley Payne stepped to the plate and smashed the ball over the left field wall for a grand slam.  Two more runs in the 6th after a solo home run by Kyndel McDaniel and an RBI double by Taylor Rowley gave the Aggies an 8-4 victory,

Game two saw the Aggies bats cool off compared to game one.  The Aggies were only able to get one run across the plate on one hit, with the lone run coming on a wild pitch.  Cameron allowed three runs on seven hits enroute to a 3-1 loss.

Cameron now sits at 14-10 overall and are currently in ninth place in the conference standings.
