Cameron Looks to Sweep Two Opponents in a Row

After sweeping Western New Mexico last weekend, the Aggies took the first two games of the St. Edward's Series.

Game 1
In the opening inning of the baseball game between Cameron and St. Edward's, Cameron quickly established dominance, capitalizing on errors by the opposing team. Alyssa Deanda reached on an error which allowed Taylor Rowley to advance and score, followed by Kaiden Boren's impressive triple that brought Deanda home, securing an early lead. The momentum continued as Tinley Schmidgal's sacrifice fly added another run to Cameron's tally. However, St. Edward's managed to respond in the second inning with R. Rangel's double, allowing M. Morris to cross the plate. Despite their efforts, St. Edward's found themselves trailing Cameron, who maintained a solid 3-1 advantage to close out the game.

Game 2
In the second game between Cameron and St. Edward's, Cameron demonstrated formidable offensive prowess throughout the contest. In the first inning, Kaiden Boren's sacrifice fly allowed Taylor Rowley to score, securing an early lead. Cameron extended their advantage in the second inning with a double by Rowley, bringing in two runs, followed by Boren's sacrifice fly that further padded their lead. The fifth inning saw Cameron continuing their relentless offense, capitalizing on defensive errors to widen the gap. Makena Riggs reached first on an error, allowing Ashlynn Bruce to score, and Rowley's subsequent double brought in two more runs. A single by Alyssa Deanda further bolstered Cameron's lead, resulting in a commanding 8-0 score in the bottom of the 5th which ended the game in a run-rule.
