SILVER CITY, N.M. - The Cameron University volleyball team fell in the first game of its road stint, 0-3 to Western New Mexico on Thursday night.
The Aggies (6-16, 2-7 LSC) fall to 6-13 all-time against the Mustangs, going 2-3 in the last five meetings between the schools.
Both squads battled closely through all three sets, with both squads putting together multiple runs throughout the match, but the Aggies could never cut the early Mustang leads enough.
Jennifer Valdez led the Aggie offense on the night, tallying 9 kills on a .273 hitting percentage, while
Rachael White led the squad in assists with 14. Defensively,
Anastasija Andelic led the Aggies once more in blocks with a total of 16 while also totaling the most blocks on the team with 2 block assists alongside Valdez.
