Volleyball Travels to Texas for Matches Against Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State

LAWTON, Okla. - The Cameron University volleyball team is back on the road as they travel to the Lone Star State to take on Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State.

The Aggies (4-12, 0-4 LSC) are 1-3 in their last four road matches.

First up, the Aggies face off against LCU on Friday at 6 PM before matching up against MSU on Saturday at 2 PM. Both matches will be available for streaming on FloCollege.

The Aggies are 2-5 in their series against LCU, with the Chaps taking the last matchup, 0-3, on Nov. 9, 2024. Against MSU, the Aggies hold a 39-29 advantage in the storied series, but the Mustangs won the last matchup on Oct. 25, 2024, 1-3.

SCOUTING THE CHAPS

LCU comes into the weekend at 13-4 with a 5-0 record in LSC play. Last time out, the Chaps picked up 3-0, 3-1, and 3-1 wins over Eastern New Mexico, St. Edward's, and St. Mary's.

Lily Bickley and Emilee Sikora lead the Chap attack with 177 and 163 kills, respectively. Camdyn Sears feeds the offense for LCU by a wide margin, racking up 594 of the team's 822 assists.

Defensively, Abby Dominguez secures the backline with a team-leading 309 digs while Bickley and Bryleigh Schweer both total 46.0 blocks.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS

MSU has a 9-4 record overall with a 3-2 mark in LSC play. The Mustangs fell in both of their previous weekend matches, 2-3 to St. Mary's and 1-3 to No. 14 West Texas A&M.

Offensively, Trinity Vizant tallies the most kills at 159 while Alayna Guerrero has totaled 523 of the Mustangs' 622 assists. Demi Stauffenberg leads the team in digs with 162 and Jaiden Wright leads in blocks with 34.0.
