Lawton, OK- Basketball season is here and Aggie Madness presented by Buffalo Wild Wings started it off with a bang! Buffalo Wild Wings welcomed visitors to a pre-event tailgate with prizes and of course free wings!! One of Southwest Oklahoma's favorite bands, the Garagemahalix, opened up the night with a performance to the crowd in the sold out  Aggie Gym.

The electric night continue with a performance by the Aggie Spirit Teams and Pick Axe Band followed by the introduction of the men's and women's basketball teams! The women's team is led by Jeff Mahoney in his fourth season as the head coach, and the men are led Nathan Kennedy in his first season coaching the Aggies. 

The presenting sponsor Buffalo Wild Wings to the court with their Blazing Wings Challenge with contests from members of the Cameron student body, faculty, staff, student athletes and coaches. Strength and Conditioning Coach Gabe Cordoba was crowned the winner by being the first one to take down the wings in under three minutes.

The Aggie Slam Dunk competition featured several members of the Men's Basketball team and was won with a perfect dunk score by Junior Thomas Tangle, who was representing Play Lawton a youth sports organization in Lawton, OK. With the winning score, Play Lawton was presented a check for $500 from the Cameron Athletics Department by Director of Athletics Lou Izzi and Cameron University President Dr. Shane Hunt.

Members of the Women's Basketball, participated in the Buffalo Wild Wings Score for More 3-Point Shoot out where the three shooters made a combined 24 three point shots in under a total of 3 minutes.

The evening concluded with an encore performance by the Garagemahalix. 

Aggie Madness was a great night of fun and basketball but the fun doesn't stop there. Join us in supporting the basketball teams this season. Men open their season at home in Aggie Gym November 14th at 7:30pm against Colorado State Pueblo. The women's team will open up in Aggie Gym November 22 at 6pm against East Central University.
