Spring, Texas — The women's golf team is set to hit the course as they open play at the highly anticipated Southern Invite.
With months of preparation behind them, the Aggies are ready to showcase their skills and make an early-season statement against a competitive field. Day one of the tournament presents an exciting challenge as the team looks to set the tone with strong performances and steady play.
Maria Savoca is in 21st place with a score of 8 over par (150 strokes) after two rounds.
Malerie Nyberg finished day one in 56th place with a score 15 over par (157 strokes) in the first round.
Valentina Leyva Serrano in currently in 62nd place with a score of 18 over par (160 strokes).
Lauren Gatsos is currently in 71st place with 22 over par (164 strokes) after two rounds.
Alexis Web is currently standing in 76th place with a score of 24 over par (166 strokes).
The lady aggies will take on the last day with one more round to determine their placing for the first tournament of the season.
