Searcy, AR — The Cameron Aggies showcased their talent across multiple events at the Chick-Fil-A Harding Invitational on Saturday, March 8^th, with standout performances in both the Women's and Men's competitions. Women's Highlights
The women's team delivered strong performances in middle-distance and long-distance events, with several athletes making their mark.
Key Performances

• Kaat de Staercke led the way in the 1500 Meters, finishing 2nd with a time of 4:43.33. She was closely followed by Akaya Lightbourne, who placed 4th with a time of 4:49.56.
  • Both athletes broke the school record with Lightbourne breaking it first, followed by de Staercke breaking Lightbourne's to secure the title.
• In the 3000 Meters, Akaya Lightbourne continued her strong showing, finishing 3rd with a time of 10:51.60. Pia Schweitzer also performed well, placing 8th with a time of 11:18.46.
• Terrionna Taylor was the top finisher for Cameron in the 800 Meters, placing 16th with a time of 2:38.55.
• Key'Auri Hildreth competed in the 100 Meters and 200 Meters, finishing 13th in both events with times of 13.37 and 27.63, respectively.

Team Effort

• The women's team demonstrated depth in the 1500 Meters, with Gracie Ortiz, Tamica Jooste, and Pia Schweitzer all posting solid times.

Men's Highlights
The men's team dominated the distance events, with several athletes securing top finishes and personal bests.
Key Performances

• Kgaogelo Moloisi was the star of the day, winning both the 1500 Meters and 3000 Meters. He clocked 4:00.69 in the 1500 Meters and 8:21.85 in the 3000 Meters, showcasing his endurance and speed.
• Arnau Pujols and Noe Chretien also excelled in the 1500 Meters, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively, with times of 4:03.33 and 4:04.55.
• In the 800 Meters, Philipp David placed 5th with a time of 2:00.17, while Hugo Kluczkowski finished 13th with a time of 2:03.82.
• Lane Cocheran was the top sprinter for Cameron, finishing 12th in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.43 and 15th in the 200 Meters with a time of 23.68.

Team Effort

• The men's team showed depth in the 1500 Meters, with Victor Ramos-Sambade, Allen Vasquez, and Hugo Kluczkowski all finishing in the top 13.
• Philipp David also impressed in the 3000 Steeplechase, placing 2nd with a time of 9:51.48.

Field Events

• In the Women's Long Jump, Key'Auri Hildreth recorded a NM (No Mark) but showed potential for future meets.
• On the men's side, Derek Doan competed in the Long Jump but also recorded a NM, while Esteban Soliz-Martinez had a tough outing in the Discus, fouling on all three attempts.

Coach's Comments

Coach Johnson had this to say, "It was a good season opener on a chilly March day. The weather was ideal for events over 3,000 meters so the shorter events suffered a little but it will be warmer soon.  We are excited for the bigger meets, which will be here after Spring Break.  The 1500s went really well with KG winning on the men's side and we had 6 of the top 8 finishers.   On the women's side we had 3 out of the top 7 with two under our old school record."
