PORTALES, NM. - Track and Field finished their 2025 season strong at the Lone Star Conference Championship weekend in New Mexico on Saturday.
The Cameron Aggies closed out the final day of the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championship with a standout performance. Kgaogelo Moloisi's ended the weekend with an impressive second place finish in the men's 1500 meters.
The day began with Key'Auri Hildreth in the women's long jump. She set a new personal best of 5.10 meters and landed at 18th place. Both the men's and women's 4x100 meter relay teams finished their race in eighth place and earned a point apiece for the Aggies. In the women's 1500 meter final, Kaat De Staercke provided a strong closing effort with a 10th finish.
The highlight of the evening came in the men's 1500 meter final. Kgaogelo Moloisi secured a silver medal and brought eight valuable points for the team. Teammate Noé Chretien also competed well as he finished in eleventh place.
In the 5000 meter final, Victor Ramos Sambale pushed through a tough race to place ninth.The meet ended with the 4x400 meter relays, where both the men's and women's teams finished in 10th place. The Lone Star Conference Championship appearance concludes Cameron's 2025 track and field season.
