AMARILLO, Tx –The Cameron University players delivered several notable performances at the NCAA Division II West Regional tournament at Tascosa Golf Club on May 5, 2025. Valentina Leyva Serrano shone brightly, particularly on par 5s, where she averaged an impressive 4.33. She tied for second place with a score of -2 and carding three birdies. Mollie Wheeler contributed on par 5s as well, averaging 4.67 and securing a -1 score. Maria Savoca achieved a solid 4.00 average on par 3s and added six birdies to her scorecard. Malerie Nyberg also made her mark, averaging 4.67 on par 5s and contributed two birdies. Collectively, the Cameron players exhibited flashes of excellence, with Leyva Serrano's standout par 5 performance and the team's birdie production signaled a strong foundation moving into the second day of the tournament.
