LAWTON, Okla. - The Cameron University volleyball team is ready for their final weekend of nonconference play as they take on UT Dallas and St. Edward's in a preview weekend at the Lone Star Conference Challenge.

First up, the Aggies face off against UT Dallas on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6 PM then match up against St. Edward's on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 PM. Both matches will be hosted at the St. Edward's Recreation and Athletics Center in Austin, TX.

This will be the first matchup in volleyball between the Aggies and UT Dallas. Meanwhile, the Aggies trail in the series against St. Edward's 9-13. The Hilltoppers took the previous matchup between the two teams, 3-0 on Oct. 4, 2024.

SCOUTING THE COMETS

UT Dallas comes into the weekend at 2-6 following a 2-2 weekend at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational where they picked up their first wins of the season against Auburn Montgomery and Mississippi College.

Jane Burkhardt and Moriah Johnson lead the squad offensive with 81 and 79 kills, respectively. Sydney Sabin leads in assists by a large margin with 135.

Defensively, Mari Hernandez tallies the most digs at 139 while Laura See leads in blocks at 16.0.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS

St. Edward's in only 1-2 on the season after having to cancel their scheduled tournament from last weekend. They have a mutual win with the Aggies over East Central, 3-1.

Addy Badley is the leading Hilltopper on the offensive side with 45 kills on a .327 attacking percentage, nearly 20 more than the next best Hilltopper. Althea Morris similarly leads in assists by a large margin, totaling 65 compared to the 32 of the next best on the team.

Giselle Ojeda has done the most work in keeping the off the floor for SEU with 48 digs. Grace McDonald tallies the most blocks on the squad by a considerable amount with 11.0.
