AMARILLO, Texas - The Cameron University women's golf team is tied for fourth after the first day of the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational.
The Aggies trail ten strokes from the leading team of West Texas A&M after 36 holes. CU holds a score of 13-over while the leaders are at 3-over. Midwestern State and Angelo State round out the top three at 4-over and 6-over, respectively.
Valentina Leyva Serrano and
Maria Savoca are leading Cameron both tied at even (E) for the day. Serrano went the first round of the tournament bogey-free and carded a hole-in-one on hole #16 of the La Paloma Golf Club - the second ace of her Aggie career.Â
The competition closes with the third and final round on Tuesday morning. The round begins with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
