AMARILLO, Texas - The Cameron University women's golf team finished the final round of the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, bringing home fourth place after 54 holes.
The Aggies finished the tournament in fourth place as a team with a score of 26-over, beating out five other Lone Star Conference teams. Hosts West Texas A&M took first place with a score of 5-over while Midwestern State and Odessa rounded out the podium at 9-over and 13-over, respectively.
After coming into the round at even (E),
Maria Savoca carded a 4-under in the final 18 holes to tie for first place and force a playoff. Savoca would end up taking second.
Valentina Leyva Serrano finished in 14th at 4-over while
Mollie Wheeler finished 30th with a score of 12-over. Rounding out the scorecards for the Aggies,
Alexis Webb finished 52nd with 20-over and
Jacinta Massie finished the tournament in 61st with a score of 24-over.
The Aggies' next tournament will be in Wichita Falls, TX at Wichita Falls Country Club on October 21st and 22nd for the Midwestern State Fall Invitational.
