Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron University men's basketball team lost in double overtime to the University of Texas Permian Basin Saturday night. Cameron pulled ahead early on against UTPB in the first half holding a lead of double digits until UTPB would catch up with the Aggies. Cameron would go into halftime with a five point lead, 45-40. In the second half, Cameron would find themselves trailing the Falcons by double digits to then take a small lead in the final minutes of the game from a dunk made by
Jean Paul El Shamee. UTPB would tie it up with a layup with under thirty seconds left of regulation. At the end,
Jordan Mitchell would miss a last second 3-pointer and the game would head into its first overtime. In the first overtime, the Aggies pulled ahead, but UTPB would manage to tie it up again with made free throws down the stretch. UTBP would miss a final free throw in the final seconds and the game would enter its second overtime of the night. The Falcons wrestled the lead away from the Aggies and were able to hold off Cameron to secure the win in double overtime.
