EDMOND, Okla. – The Cameron University Volleyball team traveled to Edmond, OK Tuesday evening for a Lone Star Conference matchup against Oklahoma Christian University at the Eagles' Nest, falling to the Eagles in three sets, 25-20, 25-20, 32-30. The Aggies battled throughout the match, highlighted by a tightly contested third set that featured 18 ties and six lead changes. Cameron opened the match strong, taking a 16-14 advantage behind kills from Taylor Silva and Anastasija Andelic. Oklahoma Christian responded with a seven-point run to take a 21-17 lead before closing out the opening set, 25-20. The Aggies carried their competitive play into the second, building a 14-11 advantage behind kills from Silva and Maria Osorio. The Eagles answered with a six-point run to regain control and eventually claimed the second set, 25-20. The third set featured a back-and-forth battle as Cameron fought to extend the match. The Aggies built a 17-15 advantage following a service ace from Kayla Eggiman and later held a 24-21 lead behind a kill from Osorio. Oklahoma Christian rallied to even the frame at 24-24, setting up an extended finish. Cameron continued to battle, earning multiple set-point opportunities behind kills from Silva, Caitlyn Cornell, Andelic, and Ana Hrle. The Eagles ultimately scored the final three points to secure the set, 32-30, and complete the sweep.
