Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron Aggies took a home court win against the University of Texas at Dallas Comets Thursday night. After a slow start and several early turnovers, Cameron settled in behind strong play from
Arzhonte Dallas, who knocked down multiple three-pointers to spark the offense. UT Dallas stayed close with second-chance points and a late three-pointer, but a put-back by
Michael Jones in the final seconds sent the Aggies into the break with momentum and a six-point advantage. The Aggies took a 42-36 lead into halftime over the Comets after a fast-paced first half. Cameron opened the second half strong, stretching its lead to double digits after back-to-back scoring. The Comets trimmed the deficit to four midway through the half, but the Aggies responded each time. Cameron's timely perimeter shooting and composure down the stretch allowed the Aggies to maintain separation and close out the nine-point victory.
