LAWTON, Oklahoma – The Cameron University Department of Athletics is proud to announce its Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The class features two former standout student athletes, Brenna Busby '21 and Jeff Hart '82, former women's golf coach Rick Goodwin, former director of athletics Jim Jackson, and the 1961 Cameron Football Team.

Established in 2007, the Cameron University Athletics Hall of Fame honors exceptional former student-athletes and coaches, outstanding teams, and significant contributors. With the addition of the Class of 2026, the Hall of Fame now includes 107 inductees, including 82 former student-athletes.
The 2026 Cameron Hall of Fame Class will be formally inducted during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in the McMahon Centennial Center, starting at 10:00am. The class also will be recognized publicly during the October 3 women's volleyball match against Midwestern State beginning at 2:00pm.

Brenna Busby '21 – Softball
A dominant shortstop on the softball team from 2017-2021, Busby was a 2019 All-American and the 2021 Lone Star Conference Softball Academic Player of the Year. Busby was named LSC 1
st-team all-conference four times and she was named the Cameron University Female Athlete of the Year in 2018 and 2019
Jeff Hart '82 – Football
Hart was a key member of the Cameron Aggie football teams during the 1979 – 1982 seasons. A feared hitter at safety and an exceptional punt returner who never called for a fair catch during his career, Hart finished his career as the Cameron record-holder for most career interceptions and most career punt returns.
Rick Goodwin – Women's Golf Coach
Goodwin became the first head coach in the history of the Cameron women's golf program in 2005 and led the team through the 2015 season. His 2007 team captured the first and only Lone Star Conference championship in program history. Goodwin also was an assistant coach for the Cameron men's golf team for several years, including the 1983 NAIA national championship team, and he has served as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's golf program since 2015.
Jim Jackson – Administrator
Jackson served as Cameron's director of athletics from 2005 until his retirement in 2024. During Jackson's tenure, a number of athletics facilities were renovated, including McCord Baseball Field, McMahon Softball Field and Athletic Center, Aggie Gym, the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex, and the Terry Bell Golf Center. Jackson also formed the Cameron University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008 with 10 inaugural members and now boasts 107 inductees.
1961 Football Team
Led by head coach Leroy Montgomery, the 1961 Cameron football team compiled a perfect
11-0 record. The team was selected as the junior college national champion in the final 1961
JC Gridwire poll after defeating Bakersfield College in the Junior Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in front of 49,000 fans. Three of the Aggies were named junior college All-Americans and six Aggies were selected as 1
st team players on the 1961 Oklahoma junior college all-star team.
