Box Score Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Cameron Universitry Volleyball team continued play at the Bettye Wallace Classic Saturday afternoon with a three-set loss to Augustana University (SD). Cameron fell 25-7, 25-21, 25-23, dropping to 0-3 on the season.
After a difficult opening set, the Aggies responded with a much stronger effort in the second. Cameron jumped out to a 6-0 lead behind an early service run from Sydney Walker before Augustana worked its way back into the set. The Aggies later erased a 20-16 deficit and tied the score at 20-20 following back-to-back service aces from Mavery Salisbury, but Augustana closed the set on a 5-1 run to win 25-21.
Cameron continued to battle in the third set, which featured five ties and four lead changes. The Aggies trailed 23-18 before mounting a late rally that cut the deficit to 23-22. Cameron fought off another set point to make it 24-23, but Augustana secured the final point to take the set 25-23 and win the match.

Key Performers
Maria Osorio led the Cameron offense with 11 kills while hitting .348. She also added three digs and a block assist.
Caitlyn Cornell finished with four kills on eight attacks without an error for a team-best .500 hitting percentage. She also added a solo block.
Sydney Walker recorded a team-high 14 assists while adding nine digs, one service ace and helping spark Cameron's strong start in the second set.
Mavery Salisbury added nine assists and a team-high three service aces.
Addison McClure led the Aggies defensively with 10 digs while also contributing three assists.
