Cameron University Athletics

2019-20 (Senior):
- Accumulated a 4-2 singles record during a shortened spring season.
- Was 4-4 in doubles playing in the No. 1 spot for CU, but won three in a row to end the year.
- Ranked No. 17 in singles and No. 4 in doubles in the final regional rankings. 

2018-19 (Junior):
- Went 13-4 in singles thanks to an impressive 11-1 record playing at No. 5.
- Recorded a 19-5 doubles mark during CU's National Tournament run.
- Playing at No. 1, went 18-5 with Vinicius Santos and had a 6-1 record against ranked opponents. 
- Named All-LSC first team for doubles play. 
- Earned All-American status for being ranked No. 9 nationally in doubles by the ITA.
- Received ITA All-American Scholar Athlete Award. 

2017-18 (Sophomore): 
- As a sophomore, Gutierrez stepped up to go 13-6 on his own, playing most of his matches at the No. 3 singles matches.
- In doubles, he went 16-4 playing at No. 2 with a perfect 3-0 conference record on the season.
- Gutierrez was named the LSC's Male Player of the Week on Mar. 28 after going 3-0 in both singles and doubles with a big wins against Emporia State, Northwest Missouri, and No. 9 Drury.
- He was awarded for his strong play by being named All-LSC honorable mention in both singles and doubles. 

2016-17 (Freshman):
- Gutierrez went 15-11 in singles and 18-10 in doubles during his freshman campaign at CU.
- He went 3-3 in LSC matches and helped the Aggies earn a regular season and tournament LSC Championship.
- Went 6-3 in the last 10 matches and earned the clinching point at the NCAA South Central Regional against MSU.
- Named the LSC Player of the Week once. 

Personal:
- Native of Barcelona, Spain.
- Sister, Paula, was an All-American tennis player at Cameron. 
- Likes to listen to music, play video games, and shop in his free time. 
- Studying computer science.
