PERSONAL - Malerie Nyberg, born on January 30, 2003, is from Chandler, Arizona, and graduated from Perry High School. She is currently pursuing a major in Interdisciplinary Studies. Malerie’s family includes her parents, Scott and Nicole Nyberg. She is a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she enjoys watching the movie "Divergent" and her favorite TV show is "Grey’s Anatomy." Ice cream is her go-to treat.
AWARDS - Throughout her athletic career, Malerie has achieved remarkable recognition. In high school, she was awarded the title of "Most Eagles in a Season" for 2020-2021, received her Academic Letter in 2021, and was honored as an AIA Scholar Athlete for the 2019-2020 school year. Additionally, she earned honorable mention on the All-Academic Team in 2020-2021 and was named to the All-Premier Region 2nd Team the same year. At the collegiate level, Malerie was recognized as a WGCA Academic All-American Scholar for the 2023-2024 year and was also part of the Athletic All-Academic Team in 2023.
2021-22 (Freshman):
- Played in five tournaments, four as an individual, during her first year as an Aggie.
- Scoring average of 83.55 over 11 rounds of play.
- Finished in the top-40 three times.
- Round low of average 77 during the opening round of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic (4/01).
