Biography
2018-19 (Senior):
- Led the Aggies with a 73.62 stroke average of 26 rounds.
- Closed out the season with five straight top-20 finishes and three straight top-5 finishes.
- Carded a season-low 211 with a second place finish at the UAFS Hardscrabble.
- Shot a season-low 67 in the final round at the UAFS Hardscrabble.
- Placed third at the DBA Patriot Classic.
- Finished fifth at the Lone Star Conference Championship with a 212.
- Named second team All-Lone Star Conference.
- Voted the LSC Academic Player of the Year for the third straight season.
- LSC Scholar-Athlete Award winner.
2017-18 (Junior):
- Recorded five top-20 finishes during his junior season, including three top-10 tournament finishes.
- Gabriel placed seventh with a 215 at the MSU Invitational (Oct. 16-17), ninth at the UAFS Hardscrabble with a 218 (Apr. 9-10), and eighth at the LSC Championships (Apr. 23-24) with a 218 as well as he shot a season low 68 during the second round.
- He was named second team All-LSC.
- Academic Player of the Year for the second straight year in 2018.
- Named a GCAA Srixon/Cleveland All-American Scholar.
2016-17 (Sophomore):
- Finished the season with six top-10 finishes, while shooting a stroke average of 73.38.
- Shot a career low 67 on his way to a fifth place finish at the UAFS Lion Classic.
- Shot a career low 207 with two sub-70 rounds at the St. Edward's Invite, where he finished in third.
- Placed second at the LSC Championships with a three round score of 218.
- Named the LSC Academic Male Golfer of the Year.
- All-LSC First Team Selection.
- Named to the Division II PING All-South Central Region Team by the GCAA.
2015-16 (Freshman):
- In his collegiate debut, he played individually at the Ryan Palmer Invitation and scored 232 (77,80,75).
- Shot a 150 (74, 76) at the WNMU Fall Invite.
- At, The Classic at The Colony, he shot a 154 ( 83, 71) placing 48th.
- Scored a 234 (77,76,81), tying for 47th place at the St. Mary's Invitational (2/22-23).
- Finished tied for 44th place at the Rattler Invite (3/14-15), shooting 227 (74, 78, 75).
- At the St. Edward's Invitational (3/28-29), he finished tied for 27th place, shooting (74, 76, 70).
- Finished tied for 45th at the DBU Patriot Classic (4/4-5), shooting (84, 70, 74).
- Finished tied for 10th at the LSC Championships (4/18-4/19) shooting 150 (75, 75).
Prep Career:
- One of Europe's stronger junior golfers after playing in Germany, Switzerland, Florida, and South Africa.
- In 2012, he won the Disney Junior Tour Event, placed third at the 2013 Swiss Central Championships, and has recorded a career low round of 67.
