2017-18 (Senior): Had After missing half of the season due to an injury, Nielsen finished 2018 with two top-10 finishes including a fifth place finish at the LSC Championships (Apr. 23-24), as he carded a 217 54-hole score. His season low tournament was at the St. Edward's Invite (Mar. 25-27) when he shot a 216 with a season low round of 71 in the first round.
2016-17 (Junior): Had four top-10 finishes with a stroke average of 73.75 in 32 rounds off play... Placed a season best second at the Dave Falconer classic with a 36-hole score of 142... Shot a CU career low of 209 with two sub-70 rounds in his 11th place finish at the NCAA West/South Central Regional...
Received LSC Player of the Week Honors on March 9th... Named First Team All-Lone Star Conference... Named to the GCAA Division II PING All-South Central Region Team.
2015-16 (Sophomore): In his first event of the season for the aggies, he shot a 219(75,73,71) tied for 6th at the Ryan Palmer Invitational... Finished in second at the WNMU Fall Invite with a 137 (69, 68)... At the Midwestern State Invitational he shot a 219 (74, 70, 75), getting second place overall... Finished tied for fifth at The Classic at The Colony shooting 138 (67, 71)... At the Rattler Invite (3/14-15), he finished tied for 33rd place shooting 223 (75, 73, 75)... Shot a (75, 73, 71) finishing in 23rd place at the St. Edward's Invitational (3/28-29)... Finished tied for 7th place at the DBU Patriot Classic (4/4-5), shooting a (71, 72, 72)...
Won LSC Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year... He also won the LSC Championship shooting 142 (72, 70).
At Ranger JC: Number-1 player at Ranger, winning the Tyler Junior College Invitational, and finishing second in the Odessa Invitational...finished among the leaders in the Paris (Texas) Invite, Dr. Pepper Classic, Tyler JC Classic, WJCAC Championship, and the NJCAA District II Championship.
