Hall of Fame Criteria
Eligibility REQUIREMENTS
Athletes, coaches, teams and other individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the Cameron University Athletics Program may be considered. A candidate must have participated in intercollegiate athletics at Cameron University and earned a two-year or four-year undergraduate or graduate or degree from Cameron, or have been a contributing member of the Cameron community. Athletes will become eligible for consideration five years from the end of the academic year in which they completed their athletic participation at Cameron. Teams will become eligible for consideration five years from the year of their most recent accomplishments. No such consideration shall be necessary for coaches and other contributors. However, coaches and other contributors must not currently be active within the athletic program and/or department. Any coach or staff member may be nominated five (5) years after leaving Cameron University. A current employee of Cameron University may be nominated with a minimum of twenty (20) years of service to the University. A former employee with less than 20 years of service to Cameron may be nominated five (5) years after completion of his/her tenure. Athletes and teams shall be based primarily upon the demonstrated performance in a varsity sport for the overall period and not a single performance. Nominated candidates will remain on the Hall of Fame ballot for a period of ten (10) years. After the 10-year period has elapsed, the candidate will be removed from the ballot if he or she has not been elected. The candidate may be nominated again after the 10-year period.
