Monica Strube was named Graduate Assistant for the Cameron University Softball team by Head Coach Rodney DeLong in August, 2013.
Strube previously was an assistant coach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis during the 2013 season. The Tritons’ finished the season ranked number-22 in the nation, played in the NCAA Midwest Regional, and finished with a 41-13 overall record. Strube was also a two-year starter at UM-St. Louis and recorded 97 putouts, while committing only three errors in 101 starts at the center field position.
Prior to Strube’s three seasons at UM-St. Louis, she played at NCAA Division I, Eastern Illinois. Strube saw action in eight games as a sophomore and during her freshman season, she came off the bench in 33 games, including 29 as a pinch-runner. Strube was also a member of the Panthers diving team.
Strube was a four-year letter-winner at Lemont High School and helped lead LHS to a school-record victory total, four straight conference titles, along with three regional crowns.
Strube earned her undergraduate degree in physical education from UM-St. Louis in 2013 and is currently pursuing her masters in secondary education at Cameron University.
