Fultz comes to Cameron after spending two seasons as an assistant at Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla. While serving as the hitting coach and catchers coach, the team saw improvements in both defense and offense. The Crimson Storm saw improvements in batting average, runs scored, slugging, on base, and home runs, while also improving their defensive play behind the plate.
The Lawton native also spent a year at his alma mater Lawton HS as the head baseball coach and before that, spent a year at Oklahoma Christian Academy as the assistant baseball coach. At Lawton, he doubled the programs win totals from the previous season and had five players sign to play college baseball.
Fultz has also seen success coaching at the club level and as the Head of Baseball Operations for the Southwest Shockers from 2017-2019. His Shockers team posted a 49-8 record in 2017 and a 38-10 record in 2018. They recorded multiple tournament wins over the past three summers and had a team batting average of over .350 under the direction of Fultz.
Cameron’s new assistant earned his bachelor of science in physical education from Southern Nazarene in 2015. While at SNU, Fultz was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, led the team in home runs as a junior and led the Great American Conference in least past balls as a senior. He was 18-28 while throwing out runners and was invited to the Tampa Bay Rays pre-draft.
Fultz graduated from Lawton HS in 2011.
