Box Score STEPHENVILLE, Texas (Nov. 18, 2011) ― The Aggies lost a hard fought contest against the #11 Central Oklahoma Bronchos Saturday, 91-81, in the second day of the TSU Classic hosted by Tarleton State.
We cut it down to six at the end; they couldn’t make free throws, but we didn’t box out when we needed to,” said Head Coach Wade Alexander. “At the end, we scrambled and were able to get back into the game … press them a little. At least we never gave up. We also took care of the ball really well.”
The Aggies (3-1, 0-0) remained competitive throughout the game, but fell just short in the end. Junior Devon Crabtree led the Aggies in scoring on the day with 21 points on 7-13 shooting, all from beyond the arc. Junior Vinicius Telo was second with 16, followed by senior Thomas Razor with 12. Telo and senior Milton Garner led the team in rebounds with eight a piece. Garner also added a team high seven assists and 11 points.
“Devon Crabtree came in off the bench and really shot it well again,” the Alexander said. “Milt Garner on the rebounds really gave us a spark. Bu we need to get back to rebounding our way and playing our basketball. We’re not bad; our new guys are catching on quick now. You always see how good you are after you lose one.”
The team will return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26th against the University of Sciences and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO (2-2)) in the Aggie Gym.
