Box Score LAWTON, Okla. –With a strong first half, Cameron’s men’s basketball team beat the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies, 94-75.
Box Score Cameron in first half shot lights out, with Aaron Thompson hitting a pair of 3s and shooting 6-7 from the field giving, CU 15 points in the first half. Asaad Robinson also played a strong half with nine points and six early boards.
As a team the Aggies put up 51 points in the first 20 minutes getting 11 points off of OSPU turnovers and 17 points off second chance opportunities. CU shot 51% in the first half with a 44% three point percentage.
The second half consisted of a lot of scoring as both Aggie teams putting up over 40 points. Cameron bettered their first half percentage by shooting 54% from the field in the second. | |
Cameron was able to score 90 plus points with a host of players scoring double digits.
Craig Foster had a double double for CU with 12 points and 10 assists. Foster also had four steals and 3 boards in the contest.
Robinson scored 15 points and grabbed seven boards, and Thompson also scored 15 points; all done in the first half.
Kimric Dixon had 12 points after going 4-7 from behind the arc, and
Rudy Harrell had 13 points and four boards.
As a team the Aggies shot 53% from the field while going 35% from three and 75% from the charity stripe.
Cameron doubled OPSU in rebounds as they grabbed 34 compared to their opponents 16.
Up next for Cameron is the Kingsville Classic this Thanksgiving Weekend on Nov. 23-24 Â to face McMurry University and Bacone College.
