Cameron opened up the game on fire with a 10-0 over the Lions after Thomas “Country” hit a three and a pair of jumpers.   The Aggies controlled the ball for the majority of the half but the Lions would claw their way back toward the end of the half closing tailing CU by one.   Robinson hit a deep three-pointer with 1:15 left in the first half to help keep some distance from A&M-C, leading 33-28.

The Aggies in the first half hit 41.9 percent from the field (13-31) with five three pointers.  While A&M-C shot 33.3 percent from the field (9-27).

In the second half, Cameron jumped out to early 5-0 run extending their lead to 10 points and for much of the half that lead held en-route to the 65-51 win.

As a team, Cameron shot 42.1 percent from the field (24-57) and 50 percent from the arc (10-20).   Texas A&M-Commerce couldn’t find a rhythm offensively shooting 28.8 percent from the field (17-59) and hitting only three shots from downtown.  Additionally, for Cameron they dominated the second chance points with 18 compared to A&M-C’s six.

The Aggie men will have a bye week before hosting a critical home-and-home series with Midwestern State on Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.
