UTPB halts Cameron's home streak at 15 games

Box Score
LAWTON, Okla. – Streaks come to an end and Cameron home winning streak was halted falling to UT-Permian Basin 79-76 at the Aggie Gym on Saturday night.

Cameron won their previous 15 games at home dating back to Jan. 2012 which was the longest present streak in the South Central Region.

The Aggies battled fouls and hitting shots from outside the arc throughout the night. Cameron racked up 30 personal fouls while nailing only five shots from downtown.

Cameron had the play the majority of the second half without their All-American, Craig Foster who got tagged with his fourth personal foul four minutes into the second half.

Without Foster UTPB took advantage of missed CU shots and built up a 10 point lead by the six minute mark and stretched to a 14 point lead with less than two minutes remaining.

A pair of intentional fouls hurt Cameron down the homestretch but they trimmed the UTPB gap to six points after a Kimric Dixon three pointer with :15 seconds left. Following a timeout for CU, Foster would drive in a three; however time would expire following the shot.

Desmond Henry would get CU's first double-double since last February with 27 points and 11 boards. Foster would put up 14 points, 12 of which all came in the second half; Will Cook added 10 rebounds and seven points. As a team, Cameron shot 34.3% from the field.

UT-Permian Basin shot 44.6% from the field and had a pair with over 20 points, and 29 personal fouls.

Cameron will hit the road on Nov. 13 to play Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
