The Starting Five:
1. Cameron has an opportunity to win back-to-back games for the first time this season and sweep the home and home series with Northwestern Oklahoma
2. Craig Foster has scored in 36 straight games and started in the last 35 for CU; he has also hit double-figure scoring in the last 12
games.
3. Kimric Dixon has nailed at least one three pointer in each of Cameron's eight games this season.
4. At 9.1 rebounds per game this season through eight games Will Cook is CU's top rebounding threat since Kallan Glasgow averaged 8.4 during the 2009-10 season. Cook is also the first Aggie player since 2007 to record back-to-back double-double games.
5. Since January, 2012 Cameron has won 16 of their last 17 games at home.
First Tip: Without adding in Cameron's exhibition games, the Aggies snapped a two game losing skid at home to take down Oklahoma Christian, 77-75. The game was a back-and-forth battle with 21 lead changes before CU came away at the end as victors. Despite the lead changes, Cameron nearly coughed up a 10 point lead midway through the second half and opened the door for an Eagle comeback attempt. An Aggie inbound pass that resulted in a turnover and a pair of missed free throws with under :30 seconds left gave Oklahoma Christian a shot the buzzer for a win.
Looking ahead to Northwestern Oklahoma, the Aggies surged in the second half in their matchup on Nov. 13 with the Rangers. Cameron had all five starters score in double-figures with Dixon leading with 22 points. After leaving at half with a three point lead, Cameron scored 54 points in the second half to win 84-64. The win for the Aggies is the largest thus far and the second highest scoring effort this season.
About Northwestern Oklahoma: Since meeting with Cameron for their second game of the season the Rangers have won two games; with one coming in overtime against Southern Arkansas and at Regis University.
The Rangers don't have an issue in rebounding at 38.4 boards per game and they are +2.0 in the rebounding margin. Scoring has plagued Northwestern Oklahoma as they are averaging 64 points per contest with a -7.7 scoring margin. Bruce Wright is leading the Rangers in scoring and he is the only player averaging in double figures; so far through eight games Wright is getting 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He is also one of two players who has started in all eight games this season.
Northwestern Oklahoma's last game came on Dec. 7 at home against Southern Nazarene (83-76). The Rangers would have four players in double figures but 11 points by SNU off of Northwestern turnovers and sending them to the line 34 times proved to be a factor in the final outcome.
A win for Cameron would mean..their first back-to-back wins of the season and send Cameron above .500 overall.
A win for NW Oklahoma would mean...their first win against the Aggies since 1986 and eighth all-time.
Coming Up: Cameron will have one more countable game in 2013 hosting Southwestern Adventist on Dec. 21 in the Aggie Gym. The Aggies will close out the year on New Years Eve against UT-San Antonio in an exhibition game.
