LAWTON, Okla. -- The Cameron University men's basketball team will have plenty of new faces joining a core group of athletes that finished second in the Lone Star Conference and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history last season.
Cameron will be bringing in three NCAA Division-I transfers, along with three Junior College stars. A pair of high school signees will complement experience in this year's class.
"I feel very good about the incoming class that Coach Richards and I have been able to assemble," said head coach
Nate Gamet.
"We have added some size, athleticism, and experience to go along with a strong group of returners. The new players and our returners complement each other very well and I look forward to seeing how the mesh together on the floor."
This is the first signing class under Head Coach
Nate Gamet who took over the program prior to NCAA Tournament last season after spending five seasons as the team's assistant coach.

Averaged 16 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior in high school and was rated a two star recruit and 37th ranked center in the country by ESPN recruiting services. Had two points, four rebounds, and one assist in a win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi his sophomore year at UTSA.

At MSU-WP, he was a starter on the 2013 Region XVI regular season championship team while averaging 8 ppg & 2 rpg and shooting 35% from 3, including a 17 point, 6 assist, and 5 rebound performance in a win at Three Rivers CC.

As a starting junior, he averaged 3.4 ppg and 2.7 rpg, including an 18 point and 7 rebound performance in a win over UT-Martin.

Redshirted because of injury his second year but came back stronger than ever, averaging 9.5 ppg, 6.2 apg, and 3.4 rpg while shooting 48% from the floor and 33% from 3 in his final year, including a 23 point and 7 assist performance against Indian Hills CC and a double-double of 10 points and 13 assists in a win against Quakerdale Prep.
