LAWTON -- After a pair of scoring showcases at home the Aggies will hit the road for the first time this season traveling to Alva to start a five game road trip. The Aggies will be facing a NWOSU team that was selected tenth in the Great American Conference preseason poll after a 12-14 overall finish to the 2013-14 season. Tip-off of Saturday's non-conference contest will start at 3 p.m. in Alva.

NWOSU split a pair of games in their opening weekend beating Northeastern Oklahoma by a slim 76-73 margin, and falling to Central Oklahoma 104-68; in exhibitions they are 0-2 falling most recently to OSU on Tuesday 91-45, and dropping a game to USAO 62-58. The Rangers have three who are averaging in double-figures with T'aries Taylor pacing Northwestern Oklahoma with 19 points per game and shooting 41 percent from the field. Adrian Motley has taken the most shots this year for the Rangers averaging 15.5 points, and has shot 45.9% from the field; Darrian Dempsey is averaging 14.5 points and has the team high 47.4 field goal percentage. As a team the Rangers are shooting 37.8 percent from the field and they are a -3.5 in the battle of the boards. This will be the 27th meeting between these two programs with the Aggies winning the overall series 17-9 over the Rangers, and they are led by Andrew Brown who is 111-95 in eight seasons.
Showtime: With 97 and 93 points scored in their first two games, the Aggies have reached the 90 point marker in two contests in a row for the first time since the 2007-08 season. The last time a CU team scored 90 or more in three games was at the start of the 1996-97 when the Aggies hit that marker in their opening four contests under Head Coach Jerry Stone. Heading into their contest on Saturday, the Aggies have the highest field goal percentage (56.1), three-point percentage (52.6), rebounding margin (+14.5), and blocked shots per game (7) in the Lone Star Conference.
Deondre Ray is leading all players in the LSC in field goal percentage (68.8), three-point percentage (77.8), and blocked shots per game (2.5).
Bruce Barron is on top of the league in assist to turnover ratio (11.0) and he is second in assists per game at 5.5.
