Robinson's nets a career high 31 points in loss against Truman State

CANYON – Jazzmine Robinson put up a career high 31 points but the Aggies would fall to Truman State 80-75 in Canyon on Saturday afternoon.  With the loss to the Bulldogs, the Aggies will return to Lawton 1-5 overall, while Truman State goes to 4-2 for the season.

Cameron trailed for the majority of the contest but managed to keep the TSU lead to single digits late in contest.  The Aggies scored four unanswered off of Robinson get within five 77-72 to Truman State and following a pair of TSU free throws, Brandi Leal knocked down a three-pointer with nine seconds to go to put CU four back.  

After an Aggie foul eight seconds remaining, Truman missed one of their two free throws to give Cameron another shot but a turnover in the next possession would end their afternoon.

Robinson went 11-19 from the field and added eight rebounds, Leal had 13 points, and Charron Montgomery added 11. 

Truman State shot 43.8 percent from the field, while Cameron went 41.9 percent on their side of the court; the Bulldogs racked up 46 rebounds, 15 more than the Aggies and with 15 offensive rebounds, TSU gave themselves 20 second chance points.

Cameron limited themselves to 13 turnovers and took away seven steals.

The Bulldogs had three in double-figures with Michalina Tomcazk leading TSU with 25 points, Allie Norton had 18, and Mckenzie Russell chipped in 15.

The Aggies will be off until Dec. 6 for their home opener against Southwestern Oklahoma.
