A quick look at the Warriors:
Bacone is 4-7 overall and has dropped their last three in a row. The Warriors have faced one other NCAA Division II program this season, UA-Fort Smith and fell 90-60 in exhibition play at Fort Smith. In 11 games this season, Bacone is averaging 76.6 points per contest with Matt Qaulls leading his team with just over 22 point a game, and Geo Brewer just behind with around 19 points.  Qaulls is leading Bacone with 11 rebounds a game but trail as a team with 38.7 a contest, compared to 42.9 by opposing teams.  From the field, the Warriors are shooting 41.7 percent, and 31.9 percent from beyond the arc.

As a four year program, the Aggies are 4-0 overall, and since 1947 Cameron is 23-5.  The last time Bacone defeated an Aggie men's basketball program was on March 6, 1964 where the Warriors beat Cameron State Agricultural College 85-71 in the NJCAA Region II Tournament in Tulsa.

Last time out: Cameron had four in double-figures with Deondre Ray leading the Aggies with 19 points with four made shots from downtown, he also added a pair of blocks.  The Aggies were out-rebounded by 10 with only 22 rebounds, their lowest total in over three years in a 79-72 loss on Saturday night to Rogers State.

The Aggies dug themselves into a hole from the opening tip after letting RSU start with seven unanswered points. However, CU responded back with an 11-3 run at the 15:14 mark to take their first lead of the night.  The Aggie advantage was short-lived and the Hillcats maintained at least a possession lead for the majority of the remaining time left in the half, leading for nearly 14 minutes to take a 44-41 advantage into the intermission.

Despite the Rogers State lead, both teams mirrored each other with RSU shooting 48 percent from the field, and CU going 46.9 percent on their side of the floor; the Hillcats led the rebounding battle by four with 16.   Desmond Henry paced the Aggies with nine points at the half; DesJuan Newton led Rogers State with 10 points.

The Hillcats continued to stay out in front of the Aggies and reopened their seven point lead eight minutes into the second half.  Cameron got back within a possession away of RSU after back-to-back buckets, but the Hillcats would pull away and open up a 70-60 led with five minutes to go.  Rogers State continued to lead in the closing minutes until a triple by Ray with 43 seconds left got CU within six of RSU.  After a pair of Hillcat free throws pulled them ahead by eight before DJ Jackson nailed a jumper while being fouled and hit the and-one to make it a 77-72 game with 30 seconds left.   In the next possession, CU forced a turnover on RSU's side of the court but the Aggies would hand the ball back on their side of the court to seal their fate.

Jackson was CU second highest scorer with 15, Henry and KeDorian Sullivan both had 11 each.

Looking forward: The Aggies enter the contest with Bacone as the fourth best team in scoring offense in the Lone Star Conference with 79.8 points per game. CU is second in the conference with a 50.9 shooting percentage and are tops in the LSC in three point shooting, knocking down 44.6 percent of their shots from behind the arc, which is also fifth best in Division II. Cameron is also third in the league in keeping their opponents off the glass, and second is assist/turnover ratio, averaging 15.88 assists per contest. On defense, they are fourth in the conference, holding opponents to 73.5 points per game, and lead the LSC in blocked shots with 5.13 per game.

Individually, Deondre Ray is fifth in the LSC with 15.8 points per game, while shooting 55 percent from the field and 51.4 percent from behind the arc. Cameron Lee leads the conference, making 56.4 percent (fourth best in the country) of his 2.8 shots from long range per game. Additionally, Desmond Henry is sixth in the LSC with 6.1 rebounds per game and fifth with 3.8 assists per game, while Tank Mayberry has the third most blocks in the conference.

Up next: The Aggies will close out the week with a trip to Southern Nazarene on Friday and a return trip to Lawton on Saturday to face Dallas Christian.
