Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas – For the Cameron University men's basketball team it was a second half to forget at Midwestern State as the Ags gave up a 16 point halftime lead to lose 70-67 in overtime on Saturday night.
Cameron (9-9, 3-4 LSC) was silenced for nearly 12 minutes in the second half and MSU reeled the game back into their favor to hand CU their 16
th loss in a row at Midwestern.
"They (MSU) pressured us a little bit more and we were taking quick average shots instead of working the ball and getting good shots like we were in the first half," said head coach
Nate Gamet.
The Mustangs (13-6, 5-2 LSC) didn't shoot the ball well and hit 31.5% of their shots but out-rebounded the Aggies on the offensive end with 21 boards compared to CU's 11. MSU would get 16 second chance points and 14 off of turnovers.

Will Cook chipping in 13;
Tank Mayberry came up with three blocks and seven rebounds.
The Aggies used a team effort and torched the nets in the first half using nine players to score and shooting 60% percent from the floor. Cameron opened up the flood gates and silenced the Midwestern State crowd by opening up a 19 point lead with under a minute left in the half. The Mustangs would drill a three pointer before Cameron closed the half with a shot made at the line; CU would leave for the locker room with a 41-25 lead.
MSU cut the Aggies lead quickly in the second half to eight points (43-35) after the Mustangs went on a 7-2 run. Cameron wasn't fazed by the Mustang attack and responded with a 7-2 run of their own and led 50-40 with under 10 minutes to go.
However, Cameron would get silenced for nearly the remainder of the game and Midwestern State took advantage in the closing minutes and tied the game for the first time with 27 seconds left and claimed the lead after three straight free-throws.
With their backs against the wall, Cameron got a last second attempt from
Craig Foster from behind the arc to tie the game and send it to overtime.
In overtime, MSU took advantage and of an Aggie turnover to put the Mustangs ahead for the final time and they would go on to win, 70-67.
The Aggies ended the night shooting 39.6% from the floor with 43 rebounds.
Cameron will travel on Feb. 5 to Texas A&M Commerce for a 8 pm tipoff.
