Men's Basketball falls to Eastern New Mexico 72-61

Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron's slide has hit seven games after dropping their Lone Star Conference contest to Eastern New Mexico 72-61 on Wednesday night.

After tying the game at 35 apiece minutes into the second half, Cameron (9-12, 3-7 LSC) struggled to get their offense going on the other side of the court shooting 37.7% (20-53) for the night.

Eastern New Mexico shot 48% (24-50) but they would be out rebounded 36 to 30 by the Aggies.

Will Cook led CU with 18 points and five rebounds, Sean McGary came out with 12 points and three assists; Craig Foster was the other CU player in double-digits with 11 points.

After getting a three ball from Foster to open the game the Greyhounds came out ahead of the Aggies 18-11 by the midway point of the first half.

Cameron managed to climb out of the seven point hole after Cook nailed a three-pointer at the four minute market to take a slim 25-23 lead. Despite the CU lead, following a pair of Cook free throws ENMU would close the half on a 10-4 run to take a 35-30 halftime lead.

The Ags came out the gates in the second half and tied the game at 35 but the Greyhounds would score eight unanswered for their largest lead of the night so far. ENMU would then open up a 12 point lead before Cameron scored seven unanswered to make it a 66-61 ballgame with two minutes left.

However it would be the closest the Aggies would get after ENMU went back on their end with six straight points to win 72-61.

Cameron will travel on Saturday, Feb. 15 to West Texas A&M.
