Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron survived a late comeback attempt by Texas A&M Kingsville to win 63-58 on Wednesday night at the Aggie Gym.

Aaron Thompson paced the Aggies with 14 points and four rebounds;
Craig Foster added 11 points and dished out eight assists,
Will Cook added 10 points with four rebounds.
"Aaron was huge tonight," said head coach
Nate Gamet. "He had 14 points, four boards and some big free throws down the stretch. You expect that out of your seniors."
Cameron dominated the rebounding battle 38 to 23 and shot the ball from the field at 47.9% (23-48) while Kingsville went 36.2% (21-58) on their end of the court. The Javelinas controlled the ball well with only two turnovers while CU had 13 on Wednesday night; TAMUK would convert 14 points off of Aggie turnovers.

Cameron didn't let off the gas pedal and rolled back, leading the Javelinas and took a 29-19 lead at the half.
Cameron maintained their double-digit lead until an 11-3 run got the Javelinas a possession away (41-39) with 11 minutes to go in the ball game. Kingsville would later even the game with CU three different times before the Aggies broke a 50-50 tie with a 9-1 run with 3:47 to go.
The game would come down to the wire after a pair of costly turnovers allowed the Javelinas to score eight answered to make it a 59-58 ballgame with 14.3 seconds left. A Kingsville foul put Cook at the line for the one-and-one and he would sink both to make it a three point Aggie lead.
With the clock winding down the Javelinas took one more shot at a tie but they would miss with CU rebounding and forcing Kingsville to foul
