KANSAS CITY, KS –  The Cameron tennis teams went back to their winning ways after beating Rockhurst 5-1 on the men's side and 8-1 on the women's side on Friday.
 
Cameron's men's team (9-3) returned to their winning ways after taking the match advantage out of doubles for only the fifth time season by winning the top two doubles slots over the Hawks. 
 
The pairing of Dennis Merdan and Angelo Lencioni won in the top doubles slot 8-5 and in the two slot Felipe Oyarzun and Rory de Boer came out ahead 8-4 over their Rockhurst counterparts. 
 
In singles, Cameron got wins in the top three slots to clinch the overall match victory.  Dennis Merdan won in the top singles slot 6-4, 6-1 over Rockhurst's Truit Gray, Rory de Boer earned his third win of the season in the number-2 slot, 6-1, 6-2, and Felipe Oyarzun moved to 7-5 overall in singles with a 6-4, 7-5 win.
 
On the women's side the Aggies had no issue taking down the Lady Hawks to win 8-1 to remain a perfect 7-0 this season. 
 
Samantha Wood remained perfect in singles competition wining her slot 6-1, 6-1 and Florencia Tornero won her sixth match of the season in the number-4 slot 6-4, 6-2.
 
The Cameron tennis teams will face Washburn University on Saturday to wrap up their three match road trip.
