Lawton, Okla- The Cameron Men's Tennis Team takes down PAC-West opponent Hawaii-Hilo 4-1 at home. The #37 ranked Aggies took the doubles point to start the match with wins from the #2 Doubles pairing of
Santiago Ledesma and Abubakari Yakuba-Lea 6-3 followed by the #4 ranked team of
Lukas Janousek and
Noe Milliard clinching the doubles point 7-5 to give the Aggies a 1-0 lead.
Cameron didn't take the foot off of the gas in the singles. #4 ranked
Lukas Janousek picked up the first win at #1 Singles with a quick 6-2, 6-3 win over Jamie Paquet. At #2 Singles #73 ranked
Noe Milliard dropped at 6-3, 6-4 match to Max Salano. The Aggies #2 doubles pairing struck again as they finished out the deciding points for the Aggies within minutes of each other. Yakuba-Lea wins 6-3, 6-2 at #4 Singles followed by Ledesma with the deciding win at #3 Singles 6-1, 6-4. The remaining matches did not complete their first game before the match is decided.
The win moves the Aggies to 7-2 for the season. The men's team will be back in action April 2nd and 3rd to take on Lone Star Conference opponents #6 Lubbock Christian and UT Permian Basin back at Cameron at the Streich-Henry Family Tennis Complex.
