Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron University Men's tennis team fell in a Lone Star Conference matchup against No. 13-ranked Lubbock Christian, 6-1.
The Aggies started off doubles with a win on the No. 1 court, with No. 5 Lukas Janousek and Noe Milliard winning 6-1 against the No. 7-ranked pair of Mattia Ghedin and Kelly Giese. Lubbock Christian picked up the win on the No. 2 court, 6-1, to even up the doubles point. Freshman Tom Debonne and Zoheir Fardoun clinched the doubles point for Cameron in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-3).
In singles play, Abubakari Yakubu-Lea fell to No. 22 Andres De Los Rios in straight-sets on the No. 4 court. On the No. 3 court, Santiago Ledesma dropped the match to No. 73 Mattia Ghedin, 6-4, 6-0. No. 5 Kelly Giese defeated No. 8 Lukas Janousek, 6-4, 7-5, on the No. 1 court to make the match 3-1. Lubbock Christian clinched the match after Noe Milliard fell to No. 15 Pablo Segura in three sets on the No. 2 court. Zoheir Fardoun fell on the No. 6 court in straight-sets and Tom Debonne dropped the match on the No. 5 court in a third-set supertiebreaker to make the match 6-1 in favor of Lubbock Christian.
