PORTALES, N.M. – Cameron volleyball fell in its fourth straight match Friday evening after Eastern New Mexico defeated the Aggies in four sets, (25-23, 16-25, 19-25, 15-25). Cameron is 13-4 on the season and 4-4 in Lone Star Conference play.

Senior Kat Evans led the Aggies in kills with 13, while freshman Jenna Gillean followed up with seven. Evans, Gillean and freshman Tori Luckenbill also had two blocks each on the match. Additionally, Luckenbill contributed 23 assists. Sophomore Cristina Viera had 15 digs for CU, and freshman Jordan Williams was one behind her with 14 digs.

Overall, ENMU boasted 64 kills on the match with a .226 hitting percentage compared to CU's 35 kills and .094 hitting clip. While the Greyhounds also had more digs, 86 to CU's 59, and more service aces, eight to CU's three, Cameron came away with more blocks, 6.0 to ENMU's 3.0.

ENMU started the match by jumping to a 0-5 start off of four kills and a CU attack error. A kill by Evans disrupted the chain, but the Greyhounds held momentum. ENMU propelled its lead to seven points until the Aggies began a rally that included two blocks to come within a point, 13-14.

The Greyhounds kept two points ahead of the Aggies until back-to-back kills from Gillean and an ENMU attack error knotted the set at 21. Luckenbill and Gillean each put down a kill to give the Aggies their first lead of the set, 23-21. ENMU traded kills with CU, and an Evan's attack error put ENMU behind a point, 24-23; however, Evans would regain composure to get the first set winning kill, 25-23.

The Aggie's momentum did not carry over into set two as it was all Greyhounds. Off a 4-4 tie, ENMU went on a ten point run that included seven kills and two aces to command the lead, 4-13. Cameron attempted a late set comeback with a four point run, 16-21, but ENMU would hold them there and go on to take the set, 16-25.

Set three saw a tightly contested match early on with seven tie scores. With the set knotted at four, it was the Aggies turn to jump ahead after the Greyhounds committed five straight errors. The set would tie five more times and for the final time at 14 where the Greyhounds took the 14-16 lead off of back-to-back kills. ENMU would retain the lead and go on to win set three, 19-25.

The Greyhounds carried over their energy as the fourth set only tied once at two before ENMU commanded the remainder of the set, winning it and the match, 15-25. The Greyhound's held Cameron to a .029 attacking percentage compared to ENMU's .324 hitting clip.

Eastern New Mexico (8-11) was led by Lauren Frye who had 18 kills and two blocks for the Greyhounds.
