"We were patient at times, and got really good looks," said head coach
Nate Gamet. "Then at other times, I thought we rushed a few shots. We started getting going a little bit, and then took some shots when we didn't need to because the emotions of the game got into it a little bit."
Desmond Henry led the Ags with 22 points, giving him back to back 20 plus point games. Henry hit on eight of his 12 free throw attempts. Also in double figures was
Cameron Lee, who scored 14 points while going 4-5 from three point range, and

CU took their first lead of the game on a free throw by Henry, going up 23-22. The Buffs came right back and used a seven point run to regain the lead. After back and forth buckets, the teams headed into intermission with WT up 40-33.

The second half started out back and forth with WT maintaining their lead up until the 10 minute mark when the Ags went on an eight point run to cut the Buffs lead to just four. After WT extended their lead back up to seven,
Deondre Ray hit a three pointer to narrow the gap back down to four, with CU trailing 70-66 with six minutes left in the game. Following trips to the free throw line by both teams, WT went on a nine point to take a conformable lead into the finals minutes of the contest.Â
West Texas shot 52 percent from the field, while going 41 percent from three point range and 71.4 percent from the charity stripe with five players in double figures. Miles Gatewood led the team with 29 points, while Antjuan Ball had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
"If we can get healthy, we will be all right, but If we cant' get healthy then it's going to be a struggle in theses last few games."
The Aggies will travel down south on Feb. 18 for their next contest, where they will battle with Texas A&M-Kingsville for the first of their final three regular season contests.
