CANYON, Texas – Cameron's bats stayed red hot with a 13-2 blowout of Adams State in their second game on Saturday.  With the win, the Aggies will move to 5-1 overall with two more games remaining this weekend.
Earlier in the day, the Aggies plated 16 runs off of 21 hits against CSU-Pueblo, they added 10 more and got homers from
Tara Martini,
Paige Daino, and
Sonora Zukerman all homered off of ASU pitching.  Martini came up with three hits and three RBI, with Daino, and
Carly Allerheiligen both having a pair of runs.
Zukerman tossed a complete game in the circle with two punch outs for her third win of the season.
The Aggies jumped out first with
Breezy McComas singling in Daino from second base and it would take until the fourth for CU to strike again with Zukerman blasting a solo shot.Â
Cameron's scoring continued in the fifth with them plating two off of Adams State errors and Daino hit her fourth bomb of the year to score two.
Two more runs were plated by CU in sixth to make it a 7-0 game before Adams State scored their first run of the day in the bottom half of the inning.Â
The big inning was in the seventh with Cameron scoring five more runs to give them a 13-1 lead. Adams State countered with a RBI triple in the final frame of the inning with Zukerman still in to for complete game.
Cameron will face Chadron State Colorado School of Mines to wrap up the six game swing at West Texas A&M on Sunday.
