The Aggies continued to battle back after three straight attack errors by the Mustangs tied the score at 23-23, however, back-to-back kills from MSU's Meghan Bettis awarded MSU the set, 23-25.
The third set proved to be a thriller with 12 ties and six lead changes. Late in the set, the score was knotted at 24-24 before a kill from MSU's Kiley Beaver brought the Mustangs ahead by one. However, a service error by Beaver became the turning point of the set as Cameron bounced back with straight kills from Evans and Gillean to win, 27-25.
The Mustangs surged for a 0-4 lead to begin the fourth set. The set tied three times until the Aggies came off an 8-8 tie after a kill by Gillean put them up once again and allowed them to lead the remainder of the set and take it, 25-16.
